Spider Solitaire Pro: The Two-Deck Solitaire Classic
📚 Guide: Solitaire and Card Games - Free Online
What is Spider Solitaire Pro?
This is one of the most played versions of solitaire. It uses two decks, and instead of moving cards up to the corners by suit, you build them down the table in descending order. That extra deck is what makes the hand long and stubborn.
How to play
You stack cards on the table piles in descending order, from high to low. When a run is completed in a single suit, it leaves the table for good. If you run out of moves, click the deck and a fresh card lands on every pile, though that also makes the table more crowded. Clear all the runs and empty the table to win the hand. The deck is limited, so how far you unpack the piles before each deal decides the hand.
Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Drag and drop | Move a card to another pile |
| Left click (deck) | Deal a new row of cards |
| Touch | Drag the card with your finger on a phone |
Tips
- Play out every sensible move on the table before you deal, because a deal cannot be taken back.
- An empty column is the most valuable thing you can win, so only fill it when you are truly stuck.
- Stack in one suit where you can, since a matching run moves as a single block.
Frequently asked questions
How many decks does it use?
Two decks are in play, which makes it longer and harder than classic solitaire.
What happens if I run out of moves?
If the deck still has cards, you can deal a new row. When the deck is empty, the hand closes and you start again.
