Bird Tile Trio: Find the Third Bird, Open the Layer
📚 Game Guides: games picked by genre, one page each
What is Bird Tile Trio?
The board is a stack of tiles printed with birds. You take three matching ones from the exposed top and that is how the buried layers come into view. Clear every tile and the level is complete.
How to play
Only tiles with nothing on top of them can be picked, and whatever you pick drops into the tray below. Once three of the same bird gather in the tray, that trio disappears and space opens up again. If the tray fills while you still hold unfinished pairs, the level is over, so grabbing tiles at random is the fastest way to lose. The right way to play is never sending the first two of a bird down before you can see where the third one sits.

Tips
- Keep at most two half-finished trios in the tray; a tile whose third you cannot see only wastes room.
- If three of one bird are exposed, take them now, one of them may end up buried when a layer lifts.
- As a layer lifts, scan the tiles it reveals; the one that completes a half trio usually comes from there.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take a tile back?
Pulling a tile out of the tray is not always possible, so the safe habit is spotting the third one before you pick.
When does a level end?
Clear all the tiles and you win; if the tray fills and no trio can be completed, the level is over.
