What is Medieval Battle 2P?

Two medieval armies line up on farmland and fight it out. You drop soldiers on the field with the mouse, start the battle once the formation looks right, then watch how it goes. Play it alone or set up two armies against each other.

How to play

Pick unit types within your budget and drop them on the field with the mouse: spearmen hold the front line, ranged units support from behind. X lifts a soldier you placed wrong and right click turns the camera so you can spot holes in the line. Once the battle starts you cannot step in, so the result rides entirely on the formation you built. In the two player mode each side builds an army in turn, then the two lines crash together.

Tips

  • Never put your units in a single row; two staggered ranks stop the line breaking on first contact.
  • Put ranged units centre-back rather than out wide, so they can fire to either side.
  • Losing with equal numbers means your spacing is wrong, since a tight mob blocks itself.

Frequently asked questions

Can I command troops once fighting starts?

No. This is a battle simulation and every decision is made while you are still placing units.

How do two people play?

Each player builds an army in turn, then both armies meet on the same field.
